About Hailey

Hailey Best, Miss North Carolina 2011, represented the Tarheel State with a Top 15 finish at the Miss America 2012 pageant in Las Vegas. She was a Miracle Maker award recipient as well as a Bronze Medalist with the Duke of Edinburgh Young American's Challenge Award Program. She continues to participate in pageantry as a coach for children and young adults competing in numerous pageant systems across the country, specializing in interview preparation and the Miss America system.

Hailey won the title of Best Actress in a Musical on BroadwayWorld Raleigh for her performance as Elle Woods in Temple Theatre's Production of Legally Blonde in 2017.

She is currently a lead vocalist performing on the Norwegian Gem with Norwegian Cruise Lines.  Hailey will be headed back to her home state of North Carolina to play Belle in Beauty and the Beast this summer. Past Credits include Mayzie La Bird in TheatreWorksUSA's Equity National Tour of Seussical the Musical, in addition to many regional theatre productions, most recently starring as Eliza Doolitte in My Fair Lady, Johanna in Cape Fear Regional Theatre's Sweeney Todd, and Brooke Wyndham in North Carolina Theatre's production of Legally Blonde. Some of her other favorites include High School Musical 2 (Sharpette), The Boyfriend (Maisie), Oklahoma (Laurey), and Joseph…Dreamcoat (Narrator).

Hailey is a graduate of the University of NC School of the Arts where she studied opera performance. She has appeared in many commercials, statewide and nationally, most notably as the "Rug and Home girl" throughout North and South Carolina, as well as Virginia. Hailey worked on the Nicholas Sparks film Safe Haven in Southport, NC as Julianne Hough's (Katie) body double. She recently completed an album of original country music in Nashville, TN (listen to some on her Music & Videos page) and is looking forward to more opportunities to perform on country stages across the country!

Hailey is a strong advocate for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and the Live On Foundation, supporting the dreams and aspirations of children who live in alternative residences (children's homes, foster care, homeless shelters).
